Yie Hahn
Yie Hahn discovered West Coast Swing by chance at a Salsa event in January 2014 and has been dancing ever since. He has performed and competed across Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Korea, Europe, and the U.S. As a WSDC Advanced competitor, he believes in bringing back the "social" in social dancing—where improving is part of the fun. Known for his inclusive approach, he dances with everyone—follows and leads alike—at weekly socials, making every dance a shared experience of connection and joy.

Karmen Siow
At 10, Karmen became her mother’s +1 at a company dinner, where she watched a beautiful Rumba performance—and she was hooked! She trained in Latin dance for eight years before taking a break. In 2017, craving to dance again, she sought a style without strict routines or choreography. That’s when she found West Coast Swing, a dance that felt free, musical, and full of surprises. Now competing in the Advanced division, Karmen continues to explore and share the joy of WCS—one of her greatest dance discoveries!

Gus Takow
Gus started his partner dance journey in 2009, moving from Salsa to Bachata before finding his true passion in West Coast Swing. Learning from some of the best in the WCS world, he believes that strong fundamentals, proper conditioning, technique, and consistent practice are key to growth. On the dance floor, Gus is known for his precision, control, and love for high-energy songs—if you’re ever up for a fast, thrilling dance, he’s the one to call! Whether guiding beginners or pushing advanced dancers, he’s all about elevating skills while keeping the fun alive.

Amy Hoe
Amy started dancing by following her mom to Latin classes, practicing together every night in their bedroom. Her passion for movement led her to explore Ballet, Modern Jazz, Tap, Latin, Salsa, and Bachata, before finally discovering her true love—West Coast Swing. Known for her infectious energy, high-pitched laughter, and warm smile, Amy brings joy to every dance. She’s eager to teach, connect, and have fun, never shying away from a bit of silliness on the dance floor. With Amy, every dance is an opportunity to learn, laugh, and let loose!

Thomas Yap
Thomas spent seven years in Latin dance before discovering West Coast Swing in 2014. A slip disc injury led him to seek a low-impact alternative, and WCS turned out to be the perfect fit. The freedom to dance to endless genres of music quickly won him over, and the community became a defining part of his journey. With his smooth style and playful energy, Thomas brings fun to every dance. His signature move? A body roll with a wink! Whether on the floor or teaching, he’s all about making dance enjoyable, expressive, and effortlessly cool.

Margaret Tan
Margaret began her West Coast Swing journey in 2016 and has never looked back. Known for her ability to dance both lead and follow, she brings a fun, dynamic energy to the floor while maintaining a deep technical appreciation for the dance. A passionate social dancer and competitor, Margaret has traveled extensively, dancing and competing across Singapore, Korea, Europe, and the U.S. Whether refining technique, sharing her love for WCS, or simply enjoying the moment, she thrives on connection, creativity, and the joy of movement.​

Amir Clyde
Amir started dancing in 2006, initially picking up Salsa to improve his footwork for futsal. However, in 2009, everything changed when he witnessed a breathtaking West Coast Swing performance by world champions Jordan and Tatiana. That moment sparked his passion for WCS, leading him into its versatile and expressive world. What excites him most is the freedom to dance to any genre and how WCS can transform even those with two left feet into confident dancers. For Amir, WCS is more than just movement—it’s a powerful way to express emotions through dance.

Carmen Chan
From a young age, Carmen was drawn to dance, eagerly joining traditional, contemporary, and pop dance communities in school. She loved exploring movement in all its forms, but everything changed in 2016 when she attended her first West Coast Swing social. From that moment, there was no turning back! WCS captured her heart with its connection, partnership, and endless creativity. Whether leading or following, she thrives on the freedom and musicality this dance offers. Jeanne Swee
Jeanne discovered West Coast Swing in 2015 and was instantly hooked by its diverse music and freedom of expression. The ability to blend creativity with technique made it the perfect dance for him. A naturally competitive spirit who also loves having fun and creating spontaneous moments on the dance floor, Jeanne constantly pushes himself to improve. He embraces both the social and competitive sides of WCS, always striving to grow while keeping the joy of dance at the center. Whether at a competition or a social, he’s always ready to bring the energy!

Eelin Tek
Ee Lin fell in love with social dancing just three months into learning Latin when she stumbled upon Salsa at a practice session. That discovery sparked a decade-long journey in the social dance scene. Eventually, her curiosity led her to West Coast Swing, and once she found it, there was no turning back! She loves creating fun, playful moments with her partners and makes it a point to dance with everyone before the night ends. Whether you’re new to WCS or a seasoned dancer, Ee Lin is always the perfect partner—welcoming, expressive, and ready for a great time on the floor!

Katie Lee
Katie Lee’s journey in movement began with ballet, where she spent a decade mastering grace and discipline. Craving something more spontaneous, she discovered West Coast Swing (WCS) in 2021—a dance that thrives on improvisation, musicality, and connection. Beyond dance, Katie is an ultra-marathon runner and triathlete, embracing endurance and challenge. Now a WCS teacher, she helps dancers find rhythm, creativity, and effortless movement. With her, dance is more than steps—it’s a journey of expression and limitless movement!

Since 2016, Yewin has been lighting up the dance floor with his smooth, comfortable social dancing and genuine care for his partners. As a professional DJ and photographer, he brings a deep understanding of music, timing, and storytelling into his dance, making every connection feel effortless and expressive. Known for his musicality and attentive lead, Yewin creates a space where follows feel safe, heard, and inspired. Whether behind the decks, the lens, or on the floor, he’s all about capturing the magic of the moment—one beat, one step, one dance at a time.
